  • How much is a lesson?

    I offer a free initial 30 minute trial lesson after that it is £40 per hour.

  • What ages do you teach?

    11 and up.

  • Do you offer shorter lessons?

    Lessons are 60 minutes but I can sometimes accommodate shorter lessons depending on circumstance.

  • Can I have a regular lesson slot?

    Yes (dependant on availability).

  • Do I need to have a lesson every week?

    This will depend on your goals and how much time you have to practice. I have students who come once a week to students who come on a much more ad hoc basis. Whatever works for you.

  • Do you teach grades?

    Yes. Mainly Rockschool but I do also cover Trinity.

  • Do you teach groups

    No - purely due to a lack of space.

  • Can I sit in on my child's first lesson?

    Yes, absolutely.

  • How much practice will I need to do?

    As much as you can. You will get out what you put in. I will work with you to develop a practice plan that can realistically deliver on your goals.

  • What do I need to bring to my lessons?

    After your first lesson you will need some sticks, a notepad and pen.

  • Do I need a drum kit to practice?

    No. At the start it is mainly about coordination.

  • Are electric drums as good as real drums?

    There is no substitution for the real thing but they are a lot more practical if noise is a concern.
