Drum Chart Tip

I was transcribing some songs for another drummer the other day and tried to alleviate some of my drum chart pet peeves for them.

Here are my tips:

(These tips are more geared towards having charts on an Ipad/Tablet - if you can have a big music stand with your charts fully opened out this obviously won’t matter)

1) Give yourself an easy page turn by making the last bar on the page something that allows you to do that. You don’t want to be trying to play a mega fill whilst turning the page.

2) Don’t put repeat marks between pages unless you want to be frantically trying to go back a page.
